KERRY HALPIN

Kerry Halpin is a dance artist based out of Halifax and Toronto. She completed her BFA in Dance Choreography in 2023 at York University, and is in her final year of her BSc in Kinesiology. Kerry has completed her CDTA dance exams and is well-versed in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern, Acrobatics, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Lyrical and Musical Theatre. She was a competitive dancer for seven years and has performed with Nostos Dance Collective, York Dances and Dance Innovations at York. Kerry is also an Acrobatic Arts Module 1 Certified Teacher.  In 2021, she was accepted into the Nostos Residency Program and in 2022, Kerry premiered her first professional choreographed piece "slacktide" at York University's show Coordinates. Kerry is excited to be involved in this Illusion Dance Arts journey!

Kerry provides training and choreography for IDA's competitive dance team. This is Kerry's third summer coordinating our summer day camp programs. Kerry has worked as a day camp leader and inclusion worker at

HRM-run summer day camps since 2017. She loves working with children and is always smiling!
