2022-2023 CLASS SCHEDULE

*Class days and times are subject to change, based on registration*

NOTE: Most classes have a dress code which can be found HERE

TERM 1

Term 1 begins on September 12, 2022 and runs until January 29, 2023. All Term 1 dancers, both non-competitive and competitive are performing in our IDA Annual Winter Showcase at the Bella Rose Theatre - Halifax West High School - on Sunday, November 27, 2022. Each family will be auto-invoiced for two tickets for our Holiday Show. Additional tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis. Families not requiring their auto-purchased tickets may sell them to another family as needed.

All Term 1 dancers participating in our Holiday show on Nov 27, 2022, will be expected to rent a costume/dancer/class at a cost up to $25. This means if your dancer participates in more than one class such as Hip Hop and an Acro class, they may have two costumes to rent. Sometimes we utilize items from home to save money for this show such as holiday pjs and we add a headband for all to wear.

TERM 2

Term 2 runs from January 30, 2023, to May 28, 2023. All Term 2 dancers, both non-competitive and competitive, are performing in our Year-End Showcase at the Spatz Theatre - Citadel High School - and must attend both their tech rehearsal on Friday, June 2, 2023, and show on Saturday, June 3, 2023, with time TBA. Each family will be auto-invoiced for two tickets for our Year-End Show. Additional tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis. If families do not require both of their auto-purchased tickets, they may sell them to another family as needed.

All Term 2 dancers will be expected to purchase a year-end recital costume if they participate from January 30, 2023 to the end of May 2023. Costumes will cost a maximum of $100/dancer/class taken, and dancers keep costumes after the show. If your dancer participates in more than one class such as Hip Hop and an Acro class, they have two costumes to purchase. If they take three classes, there will be three costumes and so on. The exception to this is Children's Combo classes including Ballet/Jazz/Tap. These classes will pay up to $100/dancer, with Ballet/Jazz usually paying a bit less than those who have added Tap. We do our best to keep costume fees as low as possible. Invoices for costumes will be sent out in early February and costume payments are due by February 15, 2023.

Winter registration online for classes closes on January 30, 2023 for competitive & non-competitive dancers. Late registration is possible by contacting the Directors.
